Zainab is a second year pre-undergraduate Rohingya student at the Asian University for Women.  As she progresses to enter the undergraduate program to study public health, her dramatic paintings of the flight from Myanmar and other aspects of the devastation of Rohingya lives, captured the cover and other pages of a recent Lancet Oncology issue.

We share these images from Zainab in the hope that they will stir you to support Zainab and 359 other Rohingya students who are studying at AUW.  According to our Rohingya students, it is at AUW that they first experienced a sense of safety and dignity and respect.  Let more Zainabs live and thrive; let Guernicas remain as a reminder of human capacity to inflict the most brutal injustice onto others, but let us not be numbed from acting now.
