Lone Dybkjaer Foundation in support of AUW to be launched today in the Danish Parliament

Copenhagen, Denmark, May 23, 2022 — In commemorating the late Lone Dybkjær’s birthday and her devotion to the Asian University for Women, a special launch event for the Lone Dybkjaer Foundation will be held at the Danish Parliament today beginning at 2 pm Danish time. Lone’s husband, former Danish Prime Minister Poul Nyrrup Rasmussen will be joined at the launch panel by AUW Chancellor Cherie Blair, AUW Founder Kamal Ahmad, Aalborg University Professor and past AUW collaborator Professor Lone Dirckink-Holmfeld and a host of others. A special musical performance is also planned. Søren Sass, the Administrator of the Lone Dybkjaer Foundation, is coordinating the program.
Over 170 participants representing the different sectors in Denmark are expected to join the event. Both the UK Ambassador to Denmark and the US Charge d’Affaires are expected to attend a pre-event gathering.
