Pre-Undergraduate Program Fellow and Senior Fellow (local)

Pre-Undergraduate (Pre-UG) at Asian University for Women (AUW), is an intensive program consisting of three components:  General Studies, Pathways for Promise, and Access.  General Studies fills gaps in students’ secondary education preparing them for AUW’s preparation programs, Pathways and ACCESS.   Admission to the university via Pathways or ACCESS places students into a six-level framework to prepare them for entry into AUW’s undergraduate program. Pathways targets specifically underserved communities who need extra training (intensive ESL and Mathematics) before they are ready to join the Access program which focuses on providing a foundation in English, Mathematics, and Computer Studies as well as a base in Critical Thinking.  Admitted students to the Pre-UG programs embark on a journey that prepares them for a rigorous, American-style liberal arts undergraduate curriculum, with a focus on scholarship, service, and Leadership.

The Pre-UG academic curriculum fosters English communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and develops strategies for life-long learning.  Pre-UG courses build students’ skills in core competencies such as academic English (reading, writing, listening, and speaking), mathematics, and computer science.

Ideal candidates are fresh graduates from universities in Bangladesh who want to start a career in university level instruction.  Preference will be given to those whose majors match with the needs of the program (i.e.,  ELT, Mathematics, Computer Science)

Weekly training and observations will be given and at the end of the academic year fellows will be eligible for promotion to the next level if successful.

The following positions are available:
