Position: Program Officer – Academic Coordination & Program Promotion
Unit: HSBC–AUW School of Apparel
Reports to: Program Director, HSBC–AUW School of Apparel
Location: Chattogram, Bangladesh

 

Position Summary

The Program Officer – Academic Coordination & Program Promotion is responsible for coordinating the academic, administrative, and promotional activities of the MS in Apparel and Fashion Business Management program. The position plays a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of academic operations, supporting faculty and students, and promoting the program to prospective students and industry stakeholders. Working closely with the Program coordinator, faculty members, and university departments, the program officer contributes to academic quality, student success, and the continued growth and visibility of the HSBC–AUW School of Apparel.

Main Responsibilities of the Job:

1. Academic Coordination

  • Prepare class schedules, examination timetables, academic calendars, and faculty schedules
  • Manage Google Classroom and other Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Maintain student records, attendance and academic documentation..
  • Organize faculty meetings and academic review sessions.
  • Coordinate classroom, online, and hybrid teaching activities.
  • Support continuous improvement of teaching quality through student feedback and academic evaluation.
  • Coordinate course evaluations and assist in implementing quality enhancement initiatives.

2. Student Services & Academic Advising

  • Serve as the primary contact for students.
  • Coordinate student orientation, on-boarding, and induction activities.
  • Advise students regarding academic procedures, schedules, policies, and program requirements.
  • Coordinate student communications regarding academic deadlines, examinations, university events.
  • Support student well being by referring students to appropriate university services when necessary.

3. Program Promotion & Student Recruitment

  • Coordinate recruitment campaigns, information sessions, webinars, and promotional events.
  • Develop promotional materials including brochures, presentations, and digital content.
  • Manage program-related website and social media content.
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective students and applicants.
  • Coordinate admissions communication and applicant engagement.
  • Represent the program at recruitment fairs, industry events, and outreach activities.

4. Programme Administration

  • Maintain academic and administrative documentation in accordance with university policies.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, conferences, and special events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  • Master’s degree (completed or in progress) is preferred.
  • Experience in academic administration or student services.
  • Experience coordinating promotional events for admissions of new students is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Proven ability to use Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and/or Canva for promotional materials.
  • Experience using learning management systems (e.g., Google Classroom) is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills.
  • Interest or experience in the apparel, textile, fashion, or RMG sector is an advantage.
