We are seeking an exceptionally qualified Construction Manager to fulfill a critical on-site leadership role during the construction phase of a landmark mega project. The successful candidate will ensure design integrity, uphold the highest quality standards, and guarantee absolute adherence tolocal and international regulatory frameworks.
Main Responsibilities of the Job:
The Construction Manager will serve as the primary responsible authority on site, performing the following core functions:
- Site Leadership & Supervision: Direct and supervise daily site operations, ensuring work adheres to approved drawings, specifications, and strict safety protocols.
Project planning, coordination, supervision, and certification of work done (quantities).
- Planning & Scheduling: Develop detailed construction schedules, work programs, and resource plans; actively monitor progress and implement corrective measures to prevent delays.
- Quality & Approvals: Enforce Quality Assurance (QA/QC) procedures; manage the review and approval process for contractor submittals (materials, shop drawings), inspections, and testing.
- Resource & Financial Management: Plan and mobilize necessary manpower, materials, and equipment; control project costs, and review contractor bills, change orders, and variations.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Maintain effective communication with design teams, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
- Closeout & Defects Management: Lead project close-out activities, manage snag lists (punch lists), oversee defect rectification, and ensure successful final handover.
Review and verify the accuracy of Contractors Invoice in terms of quantity and Item, quantities, measurement books, bills, reporting of BOQ status etc.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 12–15 years of progressive experience in managing large-scale construction projects (e.g., commercial, industrial, or Educational Institutes).
- Proven ability to successfully complete projects within defined time, cost, and quality parameters.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international construction techniques, standards, and safety codes.
- Proficiency in professional project management and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
Candidate Profile (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience: 12 to 15 years of professional experience in construction
Education: Required Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed university
