Asian University for Women (AUW) is an independent, regional institution dedicated to empowering women through higher education. AUW provides talented women from diverse and marginalized backgrounds, including workers from the Ready-Made Garment (RMG) sector, with access to world-class education and leadership development.
To support this mission, AUW is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic professional to lead recruitment efforts for RMG students across Bangladesh. The incumbent will work closely with factory owners, management, and HR to identify and recruit eligible students for AUW’s academic programs.
Main Responsibilities of the Job:
- Student Recruitment & Outreach
- Develop and implement a strategic recruitment plan to identify eligible RMG students from factories across Bangladesh.
- Conduct information sessions, presentations, and outreach campaigns to promote AUW programs to factory workers, management, and relevant stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary liaison between AUW and garment factory owners, HR departments to facilitate student enrollment.
- Engagement & Partnership Development
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including factory management, admins, and HR unit.
- Work closely with AUW’s Admissions and Communications teams to develop promotional materials and ensure a seamless application process for RMG students.
- Represent AUW at industry events, job fairs, and educational expos to raise awareness about scholarship opportunities for garment workers.
- Travel & Flexible Outreach
- Conduct field visits to garment factories across Bangladesh, including Dhaka, Gazipur, Narayanganj, and Chattogram.
- Ensure recruitment activities are adapted to workers’ schedules, including evening or weekend sessions as required.
- Provide counseling and guidance to prospective students and their families regarding AUW’s academic programs, financial aid, and career prospects.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain a comprehensive database of prospective students, application status, and enrollment progress.
- Prepare periodic reports, impact assessments, and success stories to support AUW’s recruitment strategy.
- Monitor and evaluate recruitment efforts to enhance outreach effectiveness and ensure diversity in student enrollment.

- Organizational & Multitasking Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, track recruitment progress, and meet deadlines effectively.

- Knowledge of the RMG Sector: Understanding of the garment industry’s working conditions, policies, and educational needs of workers.
- Problem-Solving & Initiative: Ability to develop innovative solutions for improving student recruitment and engagement strategies.
Other Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree is a must. A Master’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in student recruitment, community outreach, education program management, or a related field.
- Prior experience working in the garments sector or with labor unions, NGOs, or educational institutions is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, fieldwork, and partnership development.
- Strong networking skills and ability to collaborate with factory owners, HR teams, and development partners.
Languages: Fluency in Bangla and English (written and spoken) is required.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online communication tools.
- Experience with data collection, tracking student applications, and preparing recruitment reports.
