Asian University for Women (AUW), an independent international university with students drawn from 19 countries across Asia and Middle East. It is an educational institution looking for a candidate who can provide administrative and technical assistance on a wide range of special projects as assigned by Dean and Chief Executives when required.

Core Responsibilities:

▪ Serve as the primary confidant to the Dean and a primary contact person for the rest of the Office of the Dean and Executive Officers on matters of interpretation of policy and procedures, sensitive and confidential issues, and documents.

▪ Manage the day-to-day workflow of the Dean (managing the Dean’s calendar, scheduling meetings with stakeholders, keeping the Dean apprised of daily messages and events, communicating with inter-departments regarding events and academic sessions which relates to the Dean).

▪ Manage communications and outreach made to the Office of the Dean both internally and externally, which includes academic research and conferences, events and seminars.

▪ Maintains sensitive high-level contacts on routine and non-routine matters both internally and externally, requiring a high degree of discretion, diplomacy, and time sensitivity. Understands the Executive’s program goals and priorities in order to priorities issues based on urgency.

▪ Provide a high level of expertise and operational leadership to direct and oversee interdepartmental assignments for and from the Office of the Dean to coordinate guest visits, including the Dean’s official visit to other educational institutes locally and internationally.

▪ Drafts briefing documents, correspondence, and other communications initiatives for the Office of the Dean. Maintains and administers a contact, initiative, and assignment database. Meeting minutes or notes are recorded as needed. Ensure recording of all documents, database and correspondence electronically and share with the Dean when required.

▪ Be Honest, Just and Fair to all stakeholders working with and for the Office of the Dean.

▪ Other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • Minimum graduate with 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Must have excellent communication skills in English and Bangla
  • Must have Time Management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite
  • Project management training preferred but not required.
  • Human Resources Management training will be considered an asset.
