Asian University for Women (AUW) is a regional center of excellence dedicated to providing talented women from diverse and marginalized backgrounds with access to world-class education and leadership development. As part of its mission to expand outreach and increase student enrollment from Bangladesh, AUW is seeking a highly motivated and creative professional to lead communications, digital content, promotional material development, and student recruitment efforts across the country.

The Communications & Outreach Coordinator will play a pivotal role in institutional promotion, outreach activities, digital engagement, and student recruitment efforts, ensuring AUW’s brand visibility and effective enrollment of students from various regions of Bangladesh.

Main Responsibilities of the Job:

  1. Communications, Branding & Digital Marketing
  • Develop and implement AUW’s communications and outreach strategy for student recruitment and institutional visibility.
  • Design, develop, and manage high-quality promotional materials for print and digital platforms, including brochures, reports, banners, posters, and social media content.
  • Utilize tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro), and other design software to create compelling visual content.
  • Create and manage SEO-optimized content to enhance AUW’s ranking on search engines and expand digital reach.
  • Oversee social media campaigns, post boosting, and paid promotions to maximize student engagement.
  • Regularly update website content with the support of AUWSF team and ensure brand consistency across all digital and offline platforms.
  • Write high-quality content in both English and Bangla for AUW’s website, newsletters, press releases, and outreach materials.
  1. Outreach & Student Recruitment
  • Conduct institutional promotional activities, including university fairs, outreach sessions, and partnerships with schools, colleges, and educational institutions to attract prospective students.
  • Engage directly with students, parents, school administrators, and stakeholders to promote AUW’s academic programs and scholarships.
  • Develop and manage a network of student ambassadors, recruitment partners, and education counselors to expand outreach efforts.
  • Organize and execute on-ground recruitment campaigns, community engagement programs, and educational workshops in different regions of Bangladesh.
  • Represent AUW at public events, education expos, and partner institution meetings to enhance institutional visibility.
  1. Branding, Public Relations & Media Engagement
  • Ensure all communication materials and outreach initiatives align with AUW’s branding guidelines.
  • Develop press releases, success stories, and feature articles highlighting AUW’s impact and student achievements.
  • Collaborate with media partners to strengthen AUW’s public image and presence.
  • Monitor brand perception and adjust communication strategies accordingly.
  1. Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Maintain a database of prospective students, outreach event participants, and recruitment leads.
  • Track and analyze engagement metrics and outreach effectiveness to refine strategies.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to the Director of Admissions on student recruitment progress and communication initiatives.

  • Strategic Communication: Ability to craft compelling narratives and engagement strategies for diverse audiences.
  • Public Speaking & Presentation: Strong ability to conduct engaging outreach sessions and represent AUW at events.
  • Digital Marketing & SEO: Expertise in search engine optimization, social media management, and online promotion.
  • Graphic Design & Multimedia Production: Proven experience in creating high-quality promotional materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro), and other content creation tools.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to establish partnerships with schools, colleges, NGOs, and student networks.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Willingness to travel across Bangladesh and conduct recruitment activities at varied locations and times.
  • Content Writing Skills: Excellent ability to write high-quality, engaging content in both English and Bangla for various platforms.

Functional Competencies:

  • Event Planning & Outreach Coordination: Ability to organize public events, promotional campaigns, and educational fairs.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Ability to track outreach impact, recruitment trends, and engagement analytics.
  • Cultural Sensitivity & Inclusiveness: Ability to work effectively with diverse socio-economic backgrounds, particularly marginalized groups.

Other Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Education, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in communications, digital marketing, student recruitment, or outreach.
  • Proven experience in developing high-quality promotional materials using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and other content creation tools.
  • Proven track record in institutional promotion, public engagement, or higher education marketing.
  • Experience in the education sector, NGOs, INGOs, or community development programs is highly desirable.
  • Strong networking skills and ability to engage with students, educational institutions, and community stakeholders.

Languages: Fluency in English and Bangla (written and spoken) is required.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, website content management systems (CMS), and social media management tools.
  • Experience in Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and digital analytics tools is preferred.
