AUW Students Contribute to Published Paper

The journal Quality of Life Research has published a paper entitled, “Cognitive testing of the WHOQOL-BREF Bangladesh tool in a northern rural Bangladeshi population with lymphatic filariasis.”  The main author of the paper, which explores the cultural suitability of this public health intervention in Northern Bangladesh, is Professor Lynne Zeldenryk, PhD candidate at James Cook University in Australia.  Professor Zaldenryk was assisted in her Bangladesh field research by four AUW students—Nur-E-Habiba, Rosy Karna, Shema Mhajabin, and Zahida Khan—whom she has kindly acknowledged in the final paper.  As research assistants, the students conducted interviews with subjects in Bengali and translated them into English—these cognitive interviews provided the data that was analyzed in the paper.  This project was part of a research program sponsored by the World Health Organization.  You can read the paper online here:
