AUW Partners with University of Sussex to Expand Educational Opportunities for Women

Chittagong, Bangladesh, March 12, 2017 – Asian University for Women is delighted to announce a new partnership with the University of Sussex. The three-year agreement will promote cooperation in teaching and research, staff and student exchanges, and opportunities for AUW students to receive scholarships for graduate study at Sussex.

University of Sussex Vice Chancellor Professor Adam Tickell said, “We are delighted to enter this unique partnership with Asian University for Women, an institution which is educating the next generation of female leaders in Asia. Providing an even playing field, and ensuring as wide as possible access to education, is something we care about passionately here at the University of Sussex and we are pleased to be building on this partnership through innovative collaboration. We look forward to working with our colleagues at Asian University for Women and welcoming their students and staff to our campus in the future.”

AUW Vice Chancellor Professor Nirmala Rao said, “At AUW, we are committed to establishing and maintaining high quality partnerships with universities and organizations around the world. Through research and teaching collaboration and exchange programs, we are committed to giving our students a variety of opportunities which enable them to develop new skills and to spend part of their studies abroad. We are excited at the prospects our new collaboration with Sussex offers and look forward to receiving Sussex staff and students at our campus.”
